Need your eye glasses repaired?

Hey there friends!

We wanted to let you guys know how we can help you when your glasses break, get bent out of shape or stop cooperating! There is a lot we can do when life happens to your glasses. First let’s start from the beginning, when you pick up your brand new pair of glasses. We fit them to you! This is a really important first step in ensuring that you enjoy, and are comfortable in your new frame. In a metal frame, we make sure that nose piece is the correct width and placement for the bridge of your nose. This adjusts how far up or down your nose your glasses sit on your face as well as how far away or how close to your face they sit.

On a plastic or metal frame, we also adjust the temple pieces, or arms of your glasses to make sure they are not too tight or too loose. It also makes a HUGE difference to heat and bend the temple pieces to gently hug the back of your ears which keeps your frame in place on your face. Faces, especially the nose area, can become oily and sweaty causing your glasses to slide right out of place when you look down at anything. Properly fit glasses mean that you will have the best comfort while minimizing the chances that your glasses will fall or be knocked off when you’re going about your life.

If an incident causes your glasses to get bent or broken in anyway, there is a lot we can do. Always try us first, before deciding if your glasses are irreparable. We have seen frames come in that have been run over by four-wheelers, or had fence posts dropped on them (we actually see stuff like this!). Yes, some glasses can’t be fixed, however we come fully equipped with the tools and the practice to greatly increase the odds that your frame can be readjusted.

Another thing we see regularly are lenses that have fallen out and need to be put back in. Sometimes that happens when a screw is loose or when the filament in a rimless frame has broken or become loose. Don’t you worry about finding that loose screw. People walk in concerned all the time that they can’t find the screw that came in their glasses. Screw size variation is minimal, and we have about 10,283 screws on hand to replace the one that’s been lost. We also have plenty of filament to replace yours if it breaks on your rimless frame. Another thing we carry plenty of, are nose pads. If yours are lost or they hurt your nose, we can replace them. Bring ‘em on in!

You guys, all of these repairs and adjustments are free to our patients, but what if your not a patient, or you didn’t get your glasses here? Come on in anyway! General repairs, cleaning and adjustments cost nothing. If you need something replaced it’s just the cost of the material that needs to be replaced.

We are here to take care of you. It’s our job, it’s our goal, and we enjoy doing it!
